HI - I have an Asus UX303LN. It has an Intel 4400 HD and an NVidia. I run Win 8.1 64 bit. My issue is that I am not getting any sound from my HDMI. At one point, the HDMI did output sound, but it no longer works and I have no idea why not.
I connect from the HDMI to a receiver that connects to a projector. The video works fine, but there is no audio. When I go to playback devices, I see that either it says "Intel Display Audio HDMI 2" or the name of my projector or the name of my receiver (if the projector is off but receiver is on). That device is active. When I play a sound, I can see the green bars move, indicating that it is using that device to play the sound..
I have tried replacing the HDMI cable, installing the most recent Intel 4400 driver, as provided by Asus, and updating the Bios, as provided by Asus, as well as updating the audio driver. I have also removed the Intel Audio Display driver and then reinstalled the 4400 drivers, which include the Audio Display driver. I have tried restarting while connected to HDMI, restarting while not connected to HDMI, with projector on or off, etc.
Also, when I disconnect the HDMI cable, the Intel Audio Display HDMI 2 device disappears, from Device Manager and from the list of playback devices. I have seen this - Graphics Drivers — No Audio Through My HDMI Cable
As I said -- this used to work fine. I don't know what happened and hope that reinstalling Windows is not the answer.
My DXDiag file is attached.
Thank you.
